now by machine

Many of the fabrics for this quilt top had been chosen by a committee of three.  Sallyanne, Effie and I are making this quilt together with the hope that when it is finished it will be a comfort for  a 7 year old little boy.  We have chosen  many of the fabrics together and I’ve put it together over the last week in a similar style to the  ‘red riding hood’ cot quilt.

We all love the central ‘dancing foxes’ fabric, designed by Heather Ross for kokka.  Effie has renamed it the ‘feral fabric’, for it’s depiction of foxes,  rabbits and cane toads, all problems in Australia.

It has been much quicker and easier to do this quilt for  second time  and I feel the pattern may become a ‘quick and easy’ standard.

I will not be posting for about 10 days.
